Perhaps we should not seek recognition but we all need affirmation.
“And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased’.” Mk 1:10-11
Love Father’s gift to us…speaks to our deepest needs like Jesus’ promise to never leave us.

Hi! Wow, yes, we all need affirmation. Prayer and silence can help to discern God’s measure of our lives. After that, we probably need Reconciliation to attain His affirmation.
(Even my little dog loves to be told she’s a good girl!)
Thank you for highlighting such a beautiful part of scripture.

We derive affirmation in a number of ways; one needs only to read scripture to discover that God speaks us in varied ways. In prayer oftentimes it is a monologue instead of allowing for a dialogue.
